Orgasm Denial

This is another prelude to the next CL encounter, and thus does not count as a 'tangent'. As always, just mentioning for the sake of being nice and organized.....

So anyway, tonight's topic is indeed orgasm denial. Though the name is fairly self-explanatory, the phrase refers to the act of bringing your partner to the brink of orgasm, and then not allowing it to occur. Repeatedly. From this point, it can go in a couple of different directions, depending on how hard-core the people involved are. For the die hard S&M crowd, orgasm may never be allowed. And the pleasure of the experience is derived from the pain of ultimate denial, and the pleasure of having the power to deny your partner of that elusive orgasm.

Not sure what you think, but that's not exactly up my alley. I much prefer the "softer" version of orgasm denial, sometimes referred to as "edging". In this case, orgasm denial begins in the same manner as described before. Partners take turns rubbing and licking and sucking and everything else, and stopping before each reaches that plateau. But the purpose this time is to create a much more powerful, intense orgasm when it finally does occur. It also creates a delicious mystery, where the person on the receiving end is left to wonder.....is this when I'm going to finally be able to cum? The uncertainty and desperation is part of the turn-on. What is more arousing than seeing your lover in a state where they are just dying for release, and it's solely up to you to give it to them. It's also a very vulnerable position to be in, and requires alot of trust between the people involved. Even if there is an understanding that orgasm will definitely occur, one person is still in a position of pretty significant power. Not exactly the type of thing you'd expect from two people just meeting for the first time after connecting on CL, right?
